Kawartha Settlers’ Village is pleased to introduce the 3rd annual Caygeon Carnival.
This is a historic event for the whole family; Taking place July 31st 2010 from 10 am to 4pm
As in past years this carnival imitates an ‘old fashioned fair,’ where visitors will experience old fashion games, festivities, food and entertainment. The programs will include demonstrations highlighting historic objects and activities like butter churning.
Children will see the work done by an early farm family and learn how children were entertained before electronics. There is also an opportunity for children to become mayor of the Village for the day. Coloring sheets can be picked up and dropped off at the village office.
The young and the young at heart are all invited to come and experience the villages 19 historic buildings and enjoy baked goods from our outdoor oven.
Children are also encouraged to enter our washer’s tournament with the winner receiving a freshly baked pie.
Pies are not the only goodies available, there is also a Candy Shop provided by the Nutty Chocolateer, ice cream from
Kawartha Dairy
, popcorn, and cotton candy.
We are also hosting a BBQ at the cook shack throughout the day.
